American Heroes
Location Sound | Fox 5 San Diego
For years, OC Sound & Video has provided clients such as KSWB Fox 5 San Diego with location audio for broadcast TV spots, commercial projects, and promotions such as this one for a TV special aired in 2019. Audio was captured with a mix of a boom and lavaliere.
Rugby 101
Location Sound | Fox 5 San Diego
Some television promos and other projects require on-location voice overs and groups to be recorded, such as this San Diego Legion spot with Fox 5. Here we recorded the voice over on location as well as group audio with a mix of boom and lavalieres.
Special Olympics:
School of Strength
Location Sound | WWE / Special Olympics
For this WWE & Special Olympics web series, we utilized four lavalieres to record audio throughout the workouts and instructions. Timecode and wireless hops were also used to keep the three main cameras in sync with the master audio.
CarbonKlean - Peeps
Location Sound | CarbonKlean
This series of CarbonKlean commercials required a variety of audio setups to capture audio inside a car, a cafe, and a park as shown here. This spot utilized lavalieres and a boom as well as timecode, wireless hops, and IFBs.
Chemical Warfare

More complex lighting setups, or setups that require wider angles, may make it challenging to use standard setups, so we rely on a combination of lavalieres, boom placement, and wild line / voice over recording on location to clearly capture the actors’ lines.
CalFresh Food
Location Sound | CA Dept of Social Sciences
This campaign required a standard setup of multiple lavalieres and a boom, all mixed and sent to camera with a wireless hop; and synced with timecode. Dialogue was also recorded as wild lines to assist in the edit.
Rx Awareness

Sometimes commercials and other projects require quicker turnaround of actors or interviewees. Here, throughout the day, multiple actors were cycled out, so resetting lavalieres and levels had to be quick and efficient. Voice over was also recorded on location.
WD Creator Series
Location Sound | Western Digital
The Creator Series by Western Digital used a mixture of live audio mixing and on location sound for each episode. A combination of boom and lavaliere microphones were used both on location and in studio for the final products.
BPM Supreme Spotlight

Over the years, OC Sound & Video has done many projects with the Irvine Company, including interviews with clients and employees, internal videos, and company highlights such as this one.
Sensory Friendly Performances
Location Sound, Editing | Segerstrom Center for the Arts
OC Sound & Video have provided clients such as Segerstrom Center for the Arts with location sound and editing for years. Projects have ranged from coverage of live events on the plaza, to more traditional interviews and overviews of services. On this overview of sensory friendly performances, we recorded audio on location and then edited the piece together using footage captured from that day.
Expression XP-8600

This product featurette for the Epson Expression XP-8600 was fully shot by OC Sound & Video, utilizing our available camera and lighting packages. This, along with other spots for Epson, are all shot in 4K for maximum flexibility.
Takeya Traveler

In several product advertisements shot for Takeya, we worked directly with the director and client to tell the story of their product in a clear and effective way. These use our own camera and lens packages, which help in tight spaces and with movement.

As with many interview setups, B-Roll is important for telling the full story visually. Combining a higher framerate with a gimbal allowed for smooth movements to help dynamically tell the interviewee’s story in post.
Lott Impact Trophy Awards

Along with narrative and commercial work, we have also spent years working with clients such as Media Stream Partners on livestreaming shows and events. The Lott Impact Trophy was one such job, where we provided setup and camera operating.
Marvel Live! at SDCC
Lead Sound | Marvel Digital
Since 2018, OC Sound & Video has worked with Marvel Digital to provide sound mixing services at San Diego Comic Con. As lead sound, all the audio going out of the livestream would pass through our operator over the course of the four-day convention.
Night of the Necromancer

For Blizzard’s unveiling of new video game content for Diablo, we assisted in setting up and operating a 24-hour live stream from a haunted hotel in New York. In addition to setup for the livestream, we also provided sound mixing for the show, including during the remote tour sections.
The Drain

OC Sound & Video provided location sound and editing for the California Water Service in a series of web and broadcast advertisements. Several lengths of spots were made for a variety of platforms.
Diamond Highlighter
Editing, Graphics | TooFaced
This series of commercials was edited from start to finish through us; including color grading, titles, and additional graphics. Multiple versions of each spot were made, including various lengths and languages.
Global MX-5 Cup Invitational

OCSNV helped provide interview sound recording, video capture, and livestream camera setup during the Global MX-5 Cup Invitational at Laguna Seca, and Atlanda Roadway.
HGC at BlizzCon
Location Sound | Blizzard Entertainment
For the Heroes Global Championship coverage at BlizzCon, OCSNV used a complete wireless setup with a handheld microphone, a hop for the camera, and wireless boom when needed. The videos were shot 4:3 for Twitter crop.
Burnie's Apple Box

OC Sound & Video was pivotal to the start of Burnie’s Applebox: From designing and building the operating computer, selecting the camera and sound packages, designing the show logos and lower-third graphics, and sound mixing each show.
